Before you ask
- Is Storyvids free?
- Yes. Every layout, photos and videos, and exports at 1080p and 1440p are free, with no sign-up and no watermark. 4K (2160 × 3840) is free during launch.
- Can I put videos in an Instagram Story layout?
- Yes. Pick a layout in Storyvids, add up to 6 videos or photos, and export one 9:16 MP4 to post as a Story.
- Do my files get uploaded?
- No. Storyvids edits and encodes everything in your browser. Your photos and videos never leave your device.
- What if my videos are different lengths?
- The story runs as long as the longest video. Shorter videos loop until it ends, and the sound from every video is mixed together.
- What resolution can I export?
- 1080p and 1440p are free. 4K (2160 × 3840) is free during launch. Every resolution exports at 30 or 60 fps.
- Will Instagram show my story in 4K?
- No. Instagram plays Stories at 1080 × 1920 and compresses what you upload, so 1080p is enough to post. Export 1440p or 4K when you want to crop, edit or keep a sharper copy.
- Does it work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes, in Safari or Chrome. Tap “Save to Photos or share” to put the video in your camera roll.
- Can I use only photos?
- Yes. A layout with only photos exports as a JPEG.
- Is Storyvids made by Instagram?
- No. Storyvids is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
